| COFFEE & CHAT WITH SARA CARTER
Join us for a “Coffee & Chat” with our Education specialist, Sara Carter, for a two-part discussion on some important themes related to early childhood education: Part 1: Monday, Jan 16, 12:45pm “What can a good preschool do to nourish the growth of very young children?” We will share what the experts say about the benefits of sending your child to preschool and what experiences are appropriate in an early childhood program. Part 2: Monday, Jan 23, 12:45pm We value very much your thoughts about Torah Tots Preschool. Do you feel confident that this preschool is providing the kind of optimal environment we discussed at our previous meeting. What do you really love about the school? What do you think needs to be improved? One feature of a fine preschool is its ongoing desire to grow together with the parents, so we hope you will give us many opportunities to do this kind of productive collaboration.

September 26, 2011This week is a short week due to Rosh Hashana. There will be no school this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; September 28, 29, & 30. School will resume Monday, October 3. There will not be a Torah Tots Times at the end of the week. At the Rosh Hashana services at Chabad of North Fulton we are offering a special program for children both days of Rosh Hashana. I encourage all of you to bring your children to participate. The children’s program will be Thursday, Sept 29, & Friday Sept 30, from 10:45 – 12:00. More details can be found at www.chabadnf.org . We are also offering a babysitting service for children ages 9 months to 3 yrs old. (Children 3 and up can participate in the children’s program). The babysitters will be there from 10:00am to 2pm both Thursday and Friday. Pre-registration is a must. There is a $10 per child. You can get more details and pre-pay by going to our website www.chabadnf.org. This morning at preschool we were honored to have a special visit by Rabbi Hirshy. Our students got to touch and feel a shofar and hear Rabbi Hirshy blow it loud and clear. They were even able to try and blow the shofar. We got to see both a really little, itty bitty Shofar as well as a long, spirally, very fancy Shofar. Please be sure your children come to hear the Shofar blown on both days of Rosh Hashana, at shul at 12:00pm. You can see pictures of todays Shofar presentation by Rabbi Hirshy by clicking here I want to wish you all a Ksiva Vechasima Tova and a happy, healthy, and sweet new year. P.S. Today we had our first Fire Drill of the year. You can be very proud of how calm, and organized the children were as they quickly stopped what they were in middle of doing, got into a straight line, and followed the teacher out of the door to a safety zone in front of the shul. They really understand that safety is #1 and knew exactly what to do in such a situation.
September 14, 2011 As our school rolls into it’s third week, things are really going well. We’ve taken such great advantage of our new “Recreation Room”. We’ve had some great workouts in our PE classes with Morah Jeanette, held exciting Shabbos parties featuring dramatic performances by Morah Mushky and Morah Devorah, and even had our first Birthday celebration. Happy Birthday Aviva! We’ve had our first PTO event – a “Mom’s Morning Out”. Thanks to our PTO coordinator Devorah Leah Thaler for organizing and hosting. A delicious breakfast as well as a great time was had by all. Congratulation to Devorah Friedlander on winning the “Guessing Game”. Thanks to all our parents for being so gracious and generous about bringing in our weekly Fruit & Veggies for our children’s snack. The kids are really enjoying every bite each day. We are learning all about the upcoming holiday of Rosh Hashana and have been using math, science, and art to explore the various themes related to the Jewish New Year. The happy faces that fill our classrooms are all you need to see to know w’eve got a great thing going on! Please be sure to send in your applications for the 2011-12 school year if you haven’t yet done so!
